Band History & Trivia

The Drummer Carousel

The band had a changing lineup of drummers. The final list, as chronicled in the farewell newsletter (Issue 20), included:

  1. Chris Jones (Original / Mardi Gras / Fill-in)
  2. Matt (April ’99 – July ’99)
  3. Steve (Aug ’99 – Oct ’99)
  4. Trea (Nov ’99 – May ’00)
  5. Boris (July ’00 – Breakup)

Notable Incidents

  • The Robbery (May 1999): The band’s practice space was broken into; they lost their P.A. and $1,200 in gear.
  • The Lufkin Fan (March 2000): A fan at the Sports Shack offered the band a hotel room and tried to hitch a ride back to Houston with them.
  • Myla’s Pregnancy (Late 2000/Early 2001): The primary reason for the band’s winding down; she performed late into her pregnancy at The Mausoleum.

boldly going nowhere” (Cassette EP) – Released March 24, 2000.
